Activities of Gustav-Weißkopf-School/ Leutershausen.
The Gustav-Weisskopf - School is a primary school ( from class 1 till class 4) and a secondary school ( from class 5 till class 9 ). The school has its own baths (indoor) and a huge sporting aerea. The town "Leutershausen" has a partnership with Szendro in Hungary. We are interested to get more contact to the school in Szendro with the Comenius project. Since this year our school is an educational school for young teachers. The pupils of the 7th and 8th year spend a whole day at school. School- lessons change with lessons, which prepare for jobs or pupils go practising work in industry or trade for some hours or they do sports and they have a common meal and much time for exercises and learning. Sometimes we do projects in art, sport or music. Class 5 is a cooperative class, healthy and disabled (4) children learn together. A teacher from a special school with a special skill for disabled pupils helps for four lessons a week. For Pupils, whose parents work the whole day, they have the possibility to spend the afternoon at school ,too. Special educated people care for these pupils. They also eat together, play, do sports, offer courses in sport, art or music and help the children doing their homework or if they have deficits they help, too. Our Primary school takes part in the European programme for fruit. Once a week, every Thursday, the pupils get fruit or vegetable in their breaks. It doesn`t cost anything and it is an important step for healthy nutrition. The older pupils can do a preparation course to help when pupils disagree, quarrel or get into troubles.

BAZ county covers 14,4 % of our country, 12,6 % of the whole population lives here. Contradictory to this amount, the unemployment rate (19,8 %) and number of unemployments (18,8 % of the whole country) are the highest among Hungarians counties. The number of operating entertainments and factories is the less here (8,7 %). Almost half of the active employments are early school leavers, 66 % of workers are low educated, finding jobs in a difficult way.
1,5 times more disadvantaged families live here than the national average. 36 % of the population are Roma ethnic minorities coming from extremely disadvantageous backgrounds. Our colleagues try to meet these new challenges and educational requirements, but the efficiency of public education is still not suitable, basic skills and competences of our pupils are still not enough for reaching new expectations. The number of Roma ethnic pupils coming from disadvantaged backgrounds, dealing with special educational needs has increased from 60 % to 71 % in our school. Apáczai Csere János Primary School of Szendrő was founded in 1994. The school is only one school in Szendrő, there are 481 pupils and 46 teachers work here. 410 pupils of our school come from disadvantageous backgrounds, 236 pupils of them are very disadvantageous and 59 pupils are mentally retarded. Majority of our pupils are disadvantaged children so the most important thing are the helping of disadvantageous pupils, working with talented children and preparing further education. We would like to improve this with modern methods and school equipments, education training courses( for teachers),development of institution and sending applications. Our aim of this project: To improve the educational environment to the students who live disadvantaged conditions by putting the students in the centre of their learning process and we would like to realize the integrated education of our pupils. To realize international pedagogical methods and practices in our school life on behalf of the equal opportunity. Collecting of international experiences, opening to Europe with the help of sports, freetime activities and cultural activities, and reinforcing of healthy life style and environmental behaviour. Learning foreign languages.
The main task of the program to promote other countries' cultures, traditions, customs and have attitudes of friendship, tolerance, respect and show possibilities of equal opportunity in European nations.

"The Liceo Artististico "Contini", is a public secondary school on applied arts. Two years ago it underwent an important change planned by our Minister of Education and acquired the status of Liceo, before that it was a vocational school on applied arts with two main departments focusing on the production of ceramic or wood objects. These two peculiarities represent artistic traditions of the town Oristano, that 50 years ago founded this school to carry on and pass down the practical skills and crafts typical for this area of Sardinia.Today the curriculum of our pupils includes the usual high school subjects like:Italian,History and Geography plus some more art subjects: Model and Technical drawing, Painting, Design, Sculpting, Wood and Ceramics Labs. Because of the Lab classes of the school timetable we have a number of pupils with special needs. 11% of our studends have some disabilities and are offered a support by special needs teachers. As a consequence social inclusion plays an important role for our school either for disabled students or for students coming from socially disadvantaged situations:living in rural isolated areas, children of separated parents, parents'unemployment, poverty, migrants (especially chinese). The school is very active in the development of weaker students offering them afternoon remedial classes twice a week. We also run special projects on ancillary subjects like theatre, to fight the high drop-out rate of our pupils, increase their motivation in their learning process, help them acquire self-confidence and so find out about new strategies towards a more successful learning process. The school has been labelled by the regional council as an education school with a high drop-out rate.
The school is situated in the urban area of Oristano, a capital town, and with its 30,000 inhabitants the largest town of the same province. The pupils attending this school come from nearby rural areas and also from the neighbouring provinces of the island and travel everyday up to 120 km to get to school and back. The economy of the area is based on agriculture, tourism in the summer months, small industries for the preservation of farming products. The unemployment rate, especially among young people under 30, always was and still is among the highest of the country, with consequent migration for better life expectation.

Our school was founded as the first private school in its area in 1997. It provides educational services to the nursery classes (3-7 years old), primary classes and secondary classes (aged 7-14) and the high school classes (aged 15-18). It is not located in socio-economically disadvantaged area. Edirne is a border city. It has two borders which open to Bulgaria and Greece. Both are 15 minutes away. It is quite common to see Greek and Bulgarian people shopping dining or visiting the town. Our institution is affiliated to the Ministry of National Education and it runs with school fees. The lessons are supported with computers, laboratories and various activities in a student-oriented environment.
Our students need to learn how to appreciate other cultures and develop the sense of tolerance since they are living very close to two different nations. They need to create better cooperation opportunities with other European countries’ cultures and languages to communicate better and participate personally to the peace of Europe and of the rest of the world.
Beykent Educational Institutions are committed to the European and global education which it sees as a vital dimension in the preparation of its students for adulthood in the 21st century. Participation in the international projects such as Comenius offers opportunities for both staff and students to gain insights into different countries, their people and their organizations, learn from other cultures and to learn more about themselves and their own lives through the reflective prism of cooperation. Participation recognizes that we are part of the European and Global Community and that we want to play an active role within it. We want to establish ourselves in European and international network of schools and educational agencies.
We also have been an IB-MYP school since 2011.
